BillChecker3000
Accessibility
Last updated May 2026
We want BillChecker3000 to be usable by everyone, including people who
rely on assistive technology. We build and test the app against Apple's
accessibility features and aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast guidance
throughout.
What the app supports
-
VoiceOver. Every button, link, and control has a
descriptive label and announces its role and state, so the app can be
navigated and used without seeing the screen.
-
Voice Control. On-screen controls are labeled to
match what you see, so they can be operated by voice.
-
Larger Text (Dynamic Type). Text scales with your
system text-size setting, including the larger accessibility sizes.
-
Sufficient Contrast. Text and key UI meet WCAG AA
contrast ratios against the app's dark background.
-
Differentiate Without Color. Verdicts and statuses
are always conveyed with text labels, never color alone — so they
remain clear with any form of color blindness.
-
Reduced Motion. The app avoids motion that can
trigger vestibular discomfort; the only animation is a simple loading
indicator.
-
Dark Interface. BillChecker3000 uses a dark interface
throughout, which helps users with light sensitivity.
How to turn these on
These are system features you control on your device under
Settings → Accessibility — for example VoiceOver,
Voice Control, and Display & Text Size → Larger Text. BillChecker3000
responds to them automatically.
Tell us what's not working
We treat accessibility issues as bugs. If something is hard to use with
assistive technology, please tell us what device and feature you were
using and we'll fix it.
