BillChecker3000

Terms of Service

Last updated June 2026

By using BillChecker3000, you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the app.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use BillChecker3000 and to make any purchase. By using the app you confirm you meet this requirement.

What BillChecker3000 does

BillChecker3000 takes bill images you upload and uses AI to estimate whether the prices on them are typical for your area. The result is an opinion based on extracted text plus market data — not professional advice.

Not professional advice

BillChecker3000 is not a doctor, lawyer, accountant, mechanic, or contractor. Price comparisons are directional. Don't make medical, legal, financial, or repair decisions based solely on what BillChecker3000 says — talk to a qualified professional, your insurer, or get a second quote when the stakes warrant it.

Accuracy

We use AI to extract bill data and look up benchmarks. AI makes mistakes. Numbers may be wrong, categories may be wrong, verdicts may be wrong. Use BillChecker3000 as a starting point for asking questions, not as the final answer.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens in your account. One person per account. Don't try to break, scrape, or abuse the service.

Pricing and purchases

Free tier: 3 bill analyses every calendar month, at no charge. The counter resets on the 1st (UTC).

Scan packs: a one-time purchase that adds 10 or 50 scans to your account. Pack credits do not expire and are non-transferable. All sales of pack credits are final — once a pack is purchased, no refunds except where required by law.

Pro Unlimited: an auto-renewing monthly subscription that removes all scan limits while active. It renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime via your App Store, Play Store, or Stripe billing portal. No refunds for partial months unless required by law.

Free scans are used before pack credits, and pack credits before Pro is considered. If a scan fails because the image is unreadable or isn't a bill, the credit (if one was used) is automatically returned to your balance.

Acceptable use

Don't upload bills that aren't yours or that you don't have rights to. Don't use BillChecker3000 to harass anyone, generate fraudulent claims, or break the law.

Termination

We can suspend or close accounts that abuse the service. You can close your account anytime from the Account screen, or by emailing support@billchecker.app.

Disclaimers

BillChecker3000 is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that results are correct, that the app is uninterrupted or error-free, or that any saving or overcharge it identifies is real.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BillChecker3000 and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost savings, lost data, or amounts you did or didn't pay on a bill, arising from your use of the app — even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of (a) what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $50.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BillChecker3000 and its owner from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the app, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of others — including uploading bills or documents you don't have the right to upload.

Dispute resolution & arbitration

Please email support@billchecker.app first — most issues are resolved quickly, and we ask that you contact us before filing any formal claim. If we can't resolve it, you and BillChecker3000 agree that any dispute will be settled by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, and that you waive the right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration. Either party may still bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing us within 30 days of first accepting these terms. This section applies only where such agreements are permitted by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the arbitration section above, any disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Ohio.

App stores

If you got the app from Apple's App Store or Google Play: this agreement is between you and BillChecker3000, not the store. The store is not responsible for the app or for any claims relating to it, and has no obligation to provide support. Apple and Google (and their subsidiaries) are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You also agree to the applicable store's terms.

Changes

We'll update these terms when we change material parts of the service. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
